What is Dementia Friendsgiving?
A Virtual Event on November 18

Join us for this “potluck” celebration of our lively and growing dementia-friendly movement! Let’s acknowledge—together—how far the movement has come and rededicate ourselves to this important work. We’ll be sharing our gratitude for people and organizations from every corner of the dementia-friendly movement and sharing what’s to come for DFA.
This event is appropriate for all kinds: people living with dementia, care partners, aging services professionals, volunteers in the movement, business owners interested in dementia-friendly practices, state and local leaders who want to bring dementia-friendly practices to their jurisdictions, and ANY individual who wants to learn about and be inspired by the dementia-friendly movement.
A New Holiday Tradition
Emotions and nostalgia run high during the holiday season, often bringing a heightened awareness of how the stigma and lack of understanding surrounding dementia leaves us isolated and separated from the people and traditions we love.
But with some creativity, flexibility, and kindness, you can plan a dementia-friendly holiday gathering for your family, friends, or larger community. Learn how to gather with ALL people you care about, reduce social isolation, and take part in a new way of connecting and creating meaning.
