Welcome to the Memory Cafe Alliance!

Here is how to register:

Whether you are an experienced Memory Cafe Leader, or brand new to the concept, you have a place in the Memory Cafe Alliance. Anyone who registers for a free account will gain access to our online training, resources, and the directory. If you are looking to attend a Memory Cafe, you do not need an account to use our online directory.

  1. Agree to core principles and terms.
  2. Make an account. This is done so that you may update your listings on the directory with ease, and access our resources from your profile.
  3. Take the online training and complete the Knowledge Check. New to Memory Cafes? We recently launched an online training that covers all of the questions (and more!) in the Knowledge Check. This training is meant to help you start and sustain your Memory Cafe. Already experienced with Memory Cafes? You can jump right to the Knowledge Check.
  4. Add a Cafe from your profile and manage your listings there as you need to update them. Please note that anyone can make an account and access the resources, but only one person per Cafe should manage the listing on the directory.
  5. Check out our additional resources. In addition to the training, we have many resources available to you. This includes marketing tools like our MCA logo, a promotional video you may share, and PDFs that help you recruit participants and increase referrals.
  6. Take advantage of our Memory Cafe Alliance Learning Community. This includes a monthly email, a discussion board platform to learn from and share others leading or supporting Cafes, and quarterly Idea Exchange meetings. All free, and all here to strengthen the amazing network of Memory Cafe Leaders and Volunteers nationwide.
