| Please list any comments or feedback about the Dementia Friends Session that you would like to share. | This was such an informative and easy-to-apply session about how to be a Dementia Friend. My grandma had dementia, and for the last part of her life she was in assisted living facilities which isolated her from those she knew. Whenever I would visit, I would hold her hand and try to leave her with a happy feeling, and I knew her memory loss wasn't personal, but instead something she couldn't help. It broke my heart to see her this way, and I wish I had become a Dementia Friend earlier, before she passed, so I could have done more for her at the end of her life. |
